Discreet Rear Entrance Volume II

DISCREET REAR ENTRANCE VOLUME II

Discreet Rear Entrance Volume II by Lou Powers picks up where Volume I leaves off, so don’t even think about reading this book before you read the first one. This one is just as funny, if not more so, than the first book. The action is, once again, non-stop, and you’ll struggle to put it down once you start reading. The original characters continue to be developed, new ones are introduced, and there’s even more chaos and misadventures for you to get embroiled in. Like the first one, this is an adult-only book and is a great form of escapism. It is aptly described as the misadventures of a hapless hitman, and the sheer chaos and trail of destruction the main character leaves behind him will have you cringing but laughing out loud at the same time.

Eyebrow V2 Paperback Cover - NEW3

After the events of Volume I, Jimmy Eyebrow is dispatched out of town on a critical mission that will test old friendships to the limit.

With the action heating up, former alliances are fractured, and new ones are formed as the lines that have been drawing everyone to the desert begin to converge. With a cavalcade of exotic locations such as motels, truck stop casinos and suspect nightclubs, Jimmy Eyebrow spreads his unique brand of chaos across a whole new battlefield.

This book isn’t afraid to tackle the big questions - Is eating sushi from a motel vending machine a good idea? Is it acceptable to drive around Downtown wearing blackface? How long is it possible to date someone without knowing they have Down Syndrome? These are the critical questions that are explored as Jimmy Eyebrow navigates his way through the carnage unfolding around him.

The smell of bacon was strong in the air at Big Al’s – an all-day diner located far from the Strip in the wasteland of North Las Vegas. Very well-done bacon at that. Crispy, which was to be expected given that the grill was unattended – chipolatas and bacon beginning to burn, fried eggs curling at the edges. There was the smell of coffee too, with rivers of the hot beverage dripping from various points of the countertop and pooling on the linoleum floor. And there were two other smells heavy on the senses inside Big Al’s that day – spent gunpowder and blood.

The silence inside Big Al’s was akin to the unnerving quiet of the battlefield after the guns have died down and the soldiers have retreated to their positions. All that’s left are the dead in no-man’s land, and the remnants of the battle. Today, that battlefield had been Big Al’s. The smells, the eerie silence and the four bodies on the floor were testament to the fact that something catastrophic had just occurred there.
